We’ve all experienced the effects of sound upon our bodies, psyches, and well-being. There is music to soothe, and some sounds that irritate. I am a huge supporter of sound therapy, and have been since a young child. My very first ‘toy’ was a record player, and I would spend hours upon countless hours dancing around my bedroom – particularly if I was feeling down or had just had an argument with a friend. Indeed, it was very early on that I discovered that movement was my medicine, and sound was a powerful healing tool for shifting things at a deep and cellular level.
